Mr Simpson has prepared a very readable Position Paper, which is currently under consultation.

An online survey was made live on 10 July, and is open for contributions until 'mid-August'.

Significance International has prepared an analysis of the Position Paper. We find the proposed new model to be quite brilliant, but also see an opportunity to expand this generally named legislation to include proper coverage of movable cultural heritage in Australia, which is otherwise lacking.

Face-to-face consultations are being held in major Australia cities during the consultation period. The Significance International Director, Ms Veronica Bullock, and Associates Ms Margaret Birtley, and Mr Andrew Grant, will be attending the Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney meetings, respectively.

We hope you might find the time to contribute your thoughts to the online survey, and will be honoured if you find our guidance useful.
